A woman was stabbed to death on Monday, 4th May 2026, evening in Muhoroni, Kisumu County, after a dispute over a makeshift market stall turned fatal.
The incident occurred at Shauriyako estate, where the deceased, identified as Sylvia, had been constructing a stall adjacent to a hotel run by the suspect, Jane Adhiambo Okeyo.
According to police, Jane took issue with the stall being built next to her business, leading to a heated argument between the two women.
The confrontation escalated when Jane picked up a knife and stabbed Sylvia. The victim was rushed to St. Vincent Hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
Jane was arrested and is currently held at Muhoroni Police Post as investigations continue.
