A section of UDA leaders in Kitui County has urged Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to join President William Ruto’s government, arguing that he would receive the respect he deserves in the ruling camp.
The leaders’ appeal follows Thursday’s incident at Lavington during the launch of the Linda Mwananchi Movement headquarters, where Kalonzo was heckled while delivering his speech.
Speaking at a burial in Nuu, Mwingi Central, the leaders, led by Nominated Senator Beth Syengo, accused former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua of orchestrating the embarrassment of the Wiper leader.
They argued that Kalonzo, whom they described as a seasoned statesman, deserves respect and should consider joining hands with President Ruto to steer the country forward.
The leaders further warned that associating with Gachagua could expose Kalonzo to political frustration, urging him to reconsider his political alliances.
