Here is how to check 2024 Form one placement results online

In the spirit of the 100% primary to Secondary school transition the government has placed the over 1.4 million Kenya Certificate of Primary Education in different post primary institutions.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu indicated the Constitution obligate the government to provide free and compulsory education, saying additional levies denies children of poor parents access to education.

Machogu, while presiding over the 2024 Form One placement at Lenana School on Monday, said the placements were done according to candidate choices and other criteria. 

“Some students were placed in schools of equivalent standing outside their counties. This includes those from counties with inadequate capacity,” he said.

On his part The Principal Secretary for Basic Education Dr Belio Kipsang revealed that 26million Kenyans have sat KCPE since its inception in 1986, saying they constitute 70% of the adult population in the country.

According to the ministry checking of placement will be online , with the CS assuring parents that websites have tested and proven to be 100% accurate.

How to Check form one place online

Parents, Guardians and Candidates will access placement results through the Ministry of Education website.

Once On the Ministry’s website, search Form One placements.

You will be direct to the Form One selection page, where you can access the placement results.

Also be the results will be accessible directly through the Kenya Education Management Information System (KEMIS), by clicking this link. 

Also, candidates are required to download forms containing Form One joining instructions from www.kemis.edu.co.ke.

Claims that the Finance Bill 2026 introduces a new tax on mitumba clothing have sparked heated debate, prompting Kenya Kwanza leaders to come out and explain what the proposed law actually says.  At the centre of the debate is Clause 31(a)(ix)(169), which deals with the Value Added Tax (VAT) treatment of worn clothing, commonly known as mitumba, sold within the country.   According to the clause, the Finance Bill proposes to simplify the VAT treatment of the mitumba sector by ensuring that VAT is charged only at the point of importation, while domestic sales of the same goods are exempt from further VAT.  In effect, VAT will be paid once when second-hand clothes enter Kenya. After that, traders selling the clothes in local markets will not be required to charge VAT on their sales.  The proposal is intended to reduce the compliance burden on traders by ensuring that VAT is collected at a clear and verifiable point. It also removes the possibility of double taxation, making business easier for traders while reducing paperwork and helping them retain more of their earnings.  Read Also Finance Bill heads to Ruto’s desk…
