The Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) yesterday, Thursday 25th February 2026, presented a Ksh 500,000 sponsorship cheque to staff member Linet Ayuko ahead of her participation as a navigator in the 2026 WRC Safari Rally.
The event is scheduled to take place in Naivasha from 12th to 15th March 2026.
Ayuko will compete alongside driver Pauline Shegu in what is widely regarded as one of the most prestigious events on the World Rally Championship calendar, drawing international drivers, teams, media, and motorsport fans from around the world.
Her participation places Kenya in the spotlight on a global stage, and KPC’s backing signals the company’s commitment to nurturing talent from within its ranks.
The sponsorship reflects KPC’s broader philosophy of investing in employee excellence beyond the confines of the workplace, championing values of teamwork, resilience, and ambition.
Adding another layer of significance to the company’s involvement, four of the rally stages are located along KPC’s Right of Way in Naivasha, underscoring the organisation’s expansive national infrastructure footprint and its role in enabling major economic and sporting activity across the country.
In a move aimed at boosting local participation and supporting tourism during the event, KPC’s Morendat Training and Conference Centre in Naivasha will also offer accommodation to Kenyans attending the rally, contributing to the wider ecosystem surrounding the globally celebrated spectacle.
