Kingdom Bank has opened a new branch in Naivasha as it seeks to expand its reach within Nakuru County and serve businesses and individuals in one of the country’s most active economic zones.
The branch, located on the first floor of KEI Plaza along Biashara Road near the main market, is the bank’s 29th nationwide and its second in the county, complementing its existing Nakuru branch.
The Naivasha local economy is anchored by export agriculture, particularly floriculture and horticulture, alongside dairy farming, fish farming and smallholder production.
These activities sustain demand for working capital, payments and foreign exchange services linked to global markets.
Trade activity has also been strengthened with cargo movement through the SGR inland container depot, which connects the Port of Mombasa to western Kenya and neighbouring countries including Uganda, Rwanda and South Sudan.
This supports demand for trade finance and transaction banking among businesses involved in import and export.
In addition, investment linked to the Mai Mahiu–Naivasha Special Economic Zone is contributing to growth in manufacturing, logistics and agro-processing, while expansion in hospitality and related services continues to drive demand for construction, housing and commercial space.
Kingdom Bank will focus on serving micro, small and medium-sized enterprises(MSMEs) alongside retail customers, offering products including personal and business loans, asset financing, construction finance, mortgages and trade finance solutions.
Speaking on behalf of the Managing Director, the Head of Human Resources said; “Naivasha has strong economic activity across agriculture, hospitality, trade and industry. Our presence here is intended to strengthen access to financing for businesses and individuals who are part of this growth and require responsive, practical banking support.”
The Naivasha branch adds to Kingdom Bank’s growing network as it continues to build its presence in areas with sustained commercial activity and demand for MSME-focused financial services.
