Orengo reaffirms LDP leadership, warns ODM against political decisions Without Consultation

Siaya Governor James Orengo has maintained that he is the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), a party founded by the late Raila Odinga, who reportedly expressed his wish for the party to remain active for future use.

Orengo further challenged Nyanza residents to massively join the LDP, saying the move would help transform Kenya for the better.

Speaking in Siaya, Orengo also urged the Luo community not to be swayed by petty tribal politics, insisting that a successful presidential campaign requires the support of all communities across the country to build a strong and formidable candidate capable of forming the next government in 2027.

During his interaction with Siaya residents, Orengo condemned the attack on Wiper Patriotic Front party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and his team in Migori.

He called on politicians to create a conducive and peaceful political environment for all Kenyans, emphasizing that everyone should enjoy the freedom of democracy regardless of their location in the country.

He also condemned some ODM officials for what he termed as blindly rallying behind the current President without a proper political agreement. Orengo warned the Luo community against allowing leaders to make political decisions on their behalf without proper consultation and clear agreements.
