A police inspector has been charged with the murder of Dr Victoria Nthunya Mutiso, whose killing is alleged to have occurred along Mawensi Road in Nairobi’s Kilimani area.
Inspector Kenneth Kipkemboi Sang appeared before Justice Alexander Muteti to answer to a murder charge contrary to Section 203 as read with Section 204 of the Penal Code, Cap 63 Laws of Kenya.
According to the particulars of the charge, Sang, jointly with others who are not before the court, allegedly murdered Dr Mutiso on the morning of July 29, 2026, at around 9:30am along Mawensi Road in Kilimani Sub-County, Nairobi County.
The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him before the court.
The court has ordered the probation officer to prepare a probation report within 21 days with the matter scheduled for mention on November 30, 2026.
The case will be mentioned on the said date for further directions.
