Authorities stated that officers conducted a thorough search of the vehicle and discovered 123 drums loaded with ethanol, prompting the immediate arrest of the lorry driver.
Investigators later intercepted a black Toyota Crown saloon car, registration number T224DPC, which had reportedly been closely trailing the lorry. Following preliminary investigations, officers arrested the driver after linking him to both the seized cargo and the lorry.
“Shortly after the interception, officers also stopped a black Toyota Crown saloon car… and arrested the driver after investigations linked him as the owner of both the lorry and the seized cargo,” the statement read.
The two suspects remain in police custody as investigations continue. Authorities have secured the recovered vehicles and the suspected ethanol as exhibits pending further inquiries.

Police have also urged members of the public to continue supporting law enforcement efforts by reporting suspicious activities through designated emergency and anonymous reporting channels.
