Police in Kisumu have dismantled a suspected motor vehicle theft syndicate following a meticulously coordinated, intelligence-led operation conducted by officers from Migosi and Kasagam police stations.
The joint operation, led by the respective station commanders, was executed in Khayeko Junction and Aliwa Village within Kisumu East Sub-County, resulting in the recovery of several motor vehicles suspected to have been stolen.
A subsequent search of one of the targeted homesteads led to the recovery of additional exhibits, including car radios, vehicle registration plates, and assorted spare parts.
During the operation, two suspects were arrested and are currently assisting with the investigation. One other suspect remains at large, and active efforts to locate and apprehend this individual are continuing.
All recovered exhibits have been secured at Migosi Police Station as the process of verifying ownership continues.
