The Linda Mwananchi political faction is set to take its grassroots mobilisation drive to the Gusii region on Friday, 3rd July, 2026, with a series of political rallies planned across Kisii and Nyamira counties.
The delegation will be led by ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna, Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino and Siaya Governor James Orengo.
These are three of the most prominent and vocal figures associated with the Linda Mwananchi movement in recent months.
Several other legislators allied to the faction are also expected to be part of the Gusii tour, including Suba South MP Caroli Omondi, Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi and Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka, alongside other elected leaders from across the region.
The Gusii visit represents the latest leg of the faction’s ongoing nationwide outreach campaign, which has seen its leadership traverse various regions of the country as they work to consolidate political support and position themselves ahead of the next phase of Kenya’s shifting political landscape.
