President William Ruto’s UDA is searching for its official anthem, as part of concerted efforts by its handlers to revamp the party.

And in a bid to come up with the best possible anthem, the ruling party is organising a competition in all the eight regions of the country.

Dubbed the ‘UDA Anthem Competition 2023’, UDA Secretary-General Cleophas Malala says registration is free to all.

The winner of the competition will take home KSh3 million.

UDA Party elections

As the party leader, President Ruto announced that UDA will hold its elections in December 2023.

“We are going to have UDA party elections countrywide in December 2023, We are going to release the timetable to ensure the leadership of the party is determined by members,” said Ruto.

Ruto added that no leader will be given a party leadership role through roundtable discussions, adding that members are the ones to vote for the leaders.

Ever since his appointment as Sec-Gen, Malala has been on a countrywide membership registration drive.

He has also encouraged all the other Kenya Kwanza affiliate parties to fold and join in forming one big UDA party.
