Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has announced changes to the party’s top leadership, appointing former Cabinet Minister Jamleck Irungu Kamau as National Chairman, Nyali MP Mohamed Ali as Deputy Party Leader Designate, and constitutional lawyer Ndegwa Njiru as the party’s first spokesperson. The appointments take effect immediately.

Jamleck Kamau, a former Cabinet Minister and two-term Kigumo MP, takes over as chairman as the party seeks to strengthen its leadership ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Nyali MP Mohamed Ali has been appointed Deputy Party Leader Designate, joining the party’s top leadership in a move aimed at broadening its national appeal.

The party also created the office of spokesperson, naming constitutional advocate Ndegwa Njiru as its inaugural holder.

Announcing the appointments, Musyoka said the leadership changes are part of the party’s expansion strategy as it positions itself ahead of the 2027 General Election, adding that more appointments will follow.
