A woman has been charged with conspiracy to defraud a man of KSh 7 million in a case involving an alleged fraudulent herbicide supply deal.
Caroline Lihavi Imbayi appeared before Chief Magistrate Victor Wakumile, where she denied the charges brought against her.
According to the prosecution, Imbayi allegedly conspired with other individuals who are not before the court to obtain KSh 7 million from Dennis Ondieki Monari by falsely claiming that she could supply him with herbicide.
The alleged offence is said to have occurred on various dates between February 24 and March 6, 2024.
Following her plea, the court released Imbayi on a cash bail of KSh 300,000.
The case is scheduled for mention on November 3, 2026, when further directions are expected.
The charges remain allegations, and the accused is presumed innocent unless proven guilty by a court of law.
