Two people, including a 10-year-old girl, have been killed in an accident at Soliat Corner area in Kericho County.
The accident occurred when the driver of a lorry – heading towards Kisumu on the Kisumu-Kericho Highway – lost control of it on.
Consequently, the lorry veered off the road, hitting a residential plot and damaging it completely.

“A girl aged 10 years (name withheld) who was inside the building died on the spot together with the unknown driver,” the National Police Service (NPS) says.
The accident – that occurred at 10:20am – left a 30-year-old woman and a one-year-old child seriously injured.
They were rushed to Kericho Level 5 Hospital where they are receiving treatment.
