“I found salvation here,” -says Pastor Ng’ang’a during recent visit to Shimo La Tewa Prison

Pastor James Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism church, accompanied by his wife, Loise Murugi, paid a visit to Shimo La Tewa Prison, where he was seen donating tissue paper and toothbrushes to the inmates while sharing his personal story of incarceration.

Ng’ang’a reflected on his own time in the same prison, encouraging the inmates to remain hopeful.

“In 1989, this is where I was. I found salvation here. I left the prison in 1992, and right here, I knelt to pray, asking God to never let me return to prison. Now, I’ve come back to express my gratitude and to remind the inmates that they have a purpose.

“I also want to thank the officers for their support, as they helped protect me while I reformed and became a preacher. They will be blessed. I’ve promised them 200 chairs and iron sheets, and we’re working with the management to donate chapati. I’ll also return to share a meal with them,” he said.

Kenyans on social media have praised Ng’ang’a for his generous and uplifting gesture.

“I’ve never done anything like this before, so Baba, you’ve inspired me. I truly appreciate your kindness,” said Gidi Mu.

“The most honest preacher we have in the country. You are truly blessed,” commented Pst Peter.

“What God can do, no man can do,” added Mwalimu Ustadh Onzy.

“It’s important to remember where God has brought you from,” said Kinyuah JM Victor.

“He’s a God of second chances,” concluded the message.
