Cape Media Family took its digital app, Vibe47, to the Binti Jasiri Summit 2026 at Daystar University’s Nairobi Campus on Thursday, inviting attendees to download the app and register on site.
The summit was held under the theme “Empowering the Brave African Woman” and brought together students, young professionals and invited guests for a full day of talks and discussion.

About the summit
The programme covered several areas aimed at preparing young women and men for life after campus. Sessions on financial literacy looked at managing money and planning ahead.
Career guidance sessions addressed choosing a path, preparing for the job market and continuing with a career over the long term.
Attendees also received insights on networking and how to build professional relationships.
The summit included an education session on drug and alcohol abuse, which gave attendees information on the risks and encouraged healthier choices.
Other sessions focused on the future, setting goals and holding on to personal dreams.
Lunch was served during the day, giving attendees time to network and speak with the professionals present.
The Vibe47 activation
Vibe47 was present at the summit to introduce the app to attendees.
The team set up an activation point on campus where students could learn about the platform, download it and complete registration.
Team members spoke with attendees throughout the day and shared updates on social media to reach people who could not attend.
Vibe47 is a mobile-first digital platform that carries original content for young audiences.
Shows currently available on the app include Mezesha, Bedsitter, Dream Connect Inn and Unmuted. Cape Media Family says new originals are coming soon.
Speaking at the activation, Cape Media Family team said the event was a good fit for the platform’s audience.
“Vibe47 is made for young Kenyans who spend a lot of their time on their phones. The Binti Jasiri Summit brought many of them together in one place, so it made sense for us to be there, introduce the app and let people try it for themselves. We also want to hear from users about what they would like to see on the platform, and events like this help us do that.”
The team added that feedback gathered on the day would be considered as the platform develops its content and features.
