Kisii: Who abducted man from his compound before hacking him to death just 65 metres from his gate?

A man from Bomesichi village, Omosaria sub-location in Bobasi Constituency, Kisii County, was found dead after he disappeared from his home.

Stephen Mabeya Ndigwa is believed to have been picked from his home by unknown people. His body was found mutilated with serious head injuries about 65 meters from his compound.

On the fateful day, it is alleged that the 42-year-old arrived home early without closing his gate.

While inside the house, he excused himself, telling his wife, Hellen Kerubo, that he was going to close the gate.

But a few minutes later, Kerubo heard screams from outside their homestead, which prompted her to rush to the gate.

“Vile alienda kufunga gate kitu saa moja, nikasikia nduru wakisema ati mwizi. Nikakimbia kwa jirani kumwambia tuangalie ni nani anaibiwa mapema hivi…Kuenda kuangalia tukapata viatu vyake hapo kwa njia. Kusonga mbele tukapata kijana mwingine akatuambia kuna mtu amekatwakatwa hapo,” Kerubo narrates the tragic events of that day.
