ODM hold peaceful party elections in Rangwe despite court order

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) branch in Rangwe Constituency, Homa Bay County successfully conducted peaceful grassroots elections on Wednesday April 9, 2025.

The ODM elections were held in Rangwe despite a court order that sought to halt the exercise due to alleged irregularities during ward-level elections held on April 7.

Branch officials say the election was carried out through consensus, resulting in the selection of new delegates.

They emphasized that the process went on smoothly and without conflict.

They say their focus is on strengthening the party, and today’s unity and peaceful outcome is a step in that direction.

The branch remains confident that the consensus approach will foster greater unity as they look ahead to national party activities.
