Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale is mourning the sudden death of his third wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, who collapsed and died on Saturday morning after suffering a heart attack.
Khalwale broke the heartbreaking news in a post shared on his social media platforms.
“My dear wife, Gloria Sekeiyan Khalwale, has this morning suddenly collapsed and died after a heart attack,” he wrote, listing their eight children by name; Engine Kukaste Khalwale, Olivia Sabayi Khalwale, Flavia Shimuli Khalwale, Gift Atubukha Khalwale, Meliza Khamwenyi Khalwale, Velma Nasiebanda Khalwale, Sonia Inuni Khalwale, and Maura Makatse Khalwale.
Condolence messages have been pouring in from friends, colleagues, and Kenyans across the country as the Khalwale family comes to terms with the sudden and painful loss.
Gloria’s death comes nearly seven years after Khalwale lost his first wife, Adelaide Khalwale, who died on October 5, 2019, at their home in Malinya, Ikolomani, Kakamega County.
Adelaide, 56, had been married to the politician for 39 years.
She collapsed while on her way to the bathroom and was found unconscious by a house help.
Khalwale, a medical doctor, tried to revive her, but she died in his arms.
