Business Ireland Kenya rebrands to Irish Chamber of Commerce Kenya

Business Ireland Kenya (BIK) has rebranded as the Irish Chamber of Commerce Kenya, with a new name, a new logo and a clear purpose: to connect the Irish and Kenyan business markets over the long term.

The new logo is a shamrock, one of the most recognisable symbols of Ireland. It has roots and three leaves. The roots stand for connection, the link between businesses in Kenya and Ireland, which is the base of everything the Chamber does.

The three leaves stand for what grows from it: Representation, a collective voice for Irish-Kenyan business with the
institutions that shape the relationship; Insight, closing the knowledge gap between the two markets; and Growth, turning relationships and knowledge into capability and transactions.

“Shamrock is Irish, but the roots are shared. For nearly thirteen years we have connected Irish and Kenyan business, and this identity says plainly what we do. We help members understand what is happening on the other side, meet the right people and turn
existing opportunities into trade and investment.” — Ms. Katherine Muldoon, Chairperson, Irish Chamber of Commerce Kenya.

BIK was established with the support of the Embassy of Ireland and launched in December 2013. It has since grown into a network of Irish, Kenyan and international professionals and organisations, offering networking events, knowledge-sharing forums and access to industry insights.

The Irish Chamber of Commerce Kenya is building the platform for the next generation of Ireland–Kenya business opportunities.

Under the line Connect | Collaborate | Capitalise, the Chamber will continue bringing Irish and Kenyan businesses together to share knowledge, build partnerships and turn existing opportunities into trade and investment.

The rebrand was marked at a reception hosted by the Ambassador of Ireland, H.E. Caitríona Ingoldsby, and the Chairperson, Ms. Katherine Muldoon, at the Irish Residence in Nairobi on Thursday 29 October 2026, celebrating trade connections and business
partnerships between Ireland and Kenya.

A refreshed website, irishchamber.co.ke, reflects the Chamber’s growth and its ambitions for the Ireland–Kenya relationship. The Chamber continues to welcome Irish, Kenyan and international businesses and professionals with an interest in the two markets, as well as organisations that would like to support its work as partners or sponsors.
