How to use the KCB Mobile App: Full beginner’s guide 2026

The KCB Mobile App puts your account, bills, airtime, loans and savings in one place, so most of those errands become a few taps.

This guide walks you through downloading the app, setting it up, and using the features that matter most whether you are completely new to mobile banking or moving over from *522#.

If you already bank with KCB on USSD, you don’t need a new account: you’ll register the app against your existing KCB account and set a fresh PIN for it.

What does the KCB Mobile App actually do for you

Think of it as your bank account in your pocket but the real point is what it takes off your plate. The errands that used to mean a transfer, then another transfer, then a queue paying for electricity, school fees, government services, water, airtime, sending money happen in a few taps straight from your account. You can also borrow, save, invest and manage your cards in the same place.

How to download and set up the KCB Mobile App

1. Download the app. On Android, open the Google Play Store; on iPhone, open the App Store. Search for the KCB Mobile App and install it. Make sure your phone is running a supported OS version.

2. Open the app and choose to register (if you are new) or log in (if you already have access).

3. Follow the on-screen steps to register and verify your identity. Have your KCB account number or debit card, and your national ID, handy the app can verify most customers instantly this way. If self-registration doesn’t go through, visit any KCB branch or agent for assisted registration.

4. Create a secure PIN and complete any additional security setup the app prompts you for.

5. Log in and you are ready to go.

Getting around the home screen

When you log in, the home screen gives you quick actions across the top typically Send to Mobile, Send to Bank, Pay and Deposit or Withdraw.

Below that, services are grouped into clear sections: Pay Your Bills, Financial Services, Global Transfer Services (for sending or receiving money internationally, including to and from KCB customers abroad), Manage My Money, Manage My Accounts and Manage My Profile.
