Cape Media Limited injects KSh 4.75 million into FKF to boost NSL and Women’s Premier League

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has secured a KSh 4.75 million sponsorship deal from Cape Media Limited the parent company of TV47, Radio47, TV47 Digital and Cape Studios in a move set to inject fresh momentum into the National Super League (NSL) and the FKF Women’s Premier League (WPL).

The partnership will see funds directly disbursed to clubs for the remainder of the 2025/26 season, offering much-needed financial support to teams competing in the country’s second-tier men’s league and top-flight women’s competition.

Under the deal, KSh 1.8 million has been allocated to six selected NSL clubs, with each side receiving KSh 300,000.

The beneficiaries include Luanda Villa, Vihiga United, Gucha Stars, Darajani Gogo, Kabati Youth, and Mwatate United.

The Women’s Premier League takes the lion’s share of the package, receiving KSh 2.95 million. Each of the 12 participating clubs will get KSh 100,000 in direct grants aimed at supporting operations and development.

In addition, the sponsorship introduces performance-based incentives, with the league champions set to pocket KSh 1 million, while the runners-up will receive KSh 500,000 and the third-placed team KSh 250,000.

FKF says the investment goes beyond competition, noting that increased funding in grassroots and women’s football plays a critical role in driving social impact.

The federation emphasised that such support helps create safer sporting environments, strengthens club structures, and promotes inclusivity by giving young people opportunities to develop discipline, teamwork, and trust.

The federation has lauded Cape Media for the timely intervention, describing the sponsorship as a strong vote of confidence in the growth potential of Kenyan football.

FKF has also called on more corporate partners to come on board and support efforts to build a sustainable football ecosystem, as the country continues to push for greater development and professionalism in the sport.
