Former President Uhuru Kenyatta spotted at an NBA basketball game in the US

Former President Uhuru Kenyatta is visiting the United States of America, and while in the land of the free and home of the brave, the ex-commander in chief is definitely having a good time.

The former head of state was spotted at an NBA playoffs game between Miami Heat and the Boston Celtics. Kenyatta seems to be a fan of the Celtics, as he is seen in the photo clad in a green cap, which is one of the colors of the team, and a black puff jacket.

Uhuru had bumped into a fellow Kenyan, Wapi Pay founder Eddie Ndichu, and the two appeared to be enjoying the conversation, perhaps talking about the match, given both are Celtics fans, or just surprised to be in the same vicinity miles away from home.

An excited Ndichu took to his Instagram stories to share the encounter with the former president, captioning the photo, “Fancy meeting at the playoffs!”

President Kenyatta is a fan of the sport; during his tenure, he hosted the Kenya National basketball team on different occasions. Also, in 2020, he hosted retired German professional NBA player Dirk Nowitzki at State House.
