Joash Maangi thanks President Ruto after ambassadorial job

Joash Maangi has thanked President William Ruto for nominating him as Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda.

In a heartfelt message, the former Kisii Deputy Governor appreciated President Ruto for having confidence in him.

Here is Maangi’s full appreciation message…

On behalf of myself, my family and the People of Kisii County, I would like to extend my sincere appreciation for your decision to appoint me as the High Commissioner of Kenya to Uganda.

I am confident, with my experience, dedication, and diplomatic prowess, I will significantly contribute to fostering continued growth and collaboration in trade and economic development between Kenya and Uganda.

Your Excellency, this appointment will strengthen the strong bonds between Kenya and Uganda which are crucial in advancing mutual understanding and prosperity.

I look forward to witnessing the positive outcomes of my tenure as High Commissioner and remain steadfast in our support for the continued growth of diplomatic relations between our two great nations. Once again thank you for having faith in me. Sincerely, Hon. Joash Maangi.

Ruto allies reap big

Maangi was among President Ruto’s allies (and those who had been appointed as Chief Administrative Secretaries (CASs)) who benefitted from recent ambassadorial jobs.

Former Kisumu Senator Fred Outa, who had been picked as a Chief Administrative Secretary (CAS) in the Ministry of Mining, was nominated as Kenya’s ambassador to Cairo, Egypt.

Former West Mugirango MP Vincent Kemosi was also picked as Kenya’s ambassador to Accra, Ghana. Kemosi had been appointed CAS in the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Former Baringo County Speaker David Kiplagat Kerich was picked as Kenya’s ambassador to Washington DC, USA. Kerich had been appointed as a CAS in the Ministry of Mining and Blue Economy.

The courts declared the CAS positions as unconstitutional, null and void, and these nominees never assumed office.
