Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko hosted a powerful evening fellowship at Jivanjee Gardens, drawing young worshippers for what he described as a deeply moving and spirit-filled gathering. The open-air event transformed the city centre into a vibrant space of praise, prayer, and reflection.

Sonko revealed that the fellowship marked the fulfilment of a personal promise to support the group, which had previously relied solely on vocal performances. This time, a fully equipped sound system and a raised VIP stage amplified the experience, creating an atmosphere he said was “overwhelming” in both energy and spiritual depth.

Participants described scenes of emotional worship, with songs, prayers, and moments of reflection dominating the evening. Many attendees were seen singing passionately, some moved to tears as they engaged in collective praise.

Sonko noted that the initiative is only the beginning, outlining plans to expand the fellowship by bringing together more young worshippers from across Nairobi and eventually extending the programme to other parts of Kenya. He expressed hope that the movement would grow into a nationwide platform for spiritual connection and youth engagement.

“As we grow step by step, we will bring in more worshippers and take this programme across the country,” Sonko said, adding a message of blessings and unity for all those involved.
