Police have arrested two suspects and recovered more than 40 mobile phones at a shop in Nairobi CBD as authorities sustain a crackdown on mobile phone theft syndicate.
The 41 assorted mobile phones were recovered from a locked safe after officers from Central Police Station conducted an intelligence-led operation at the shop located at Norwhich House along Kimathi Street
“The recovered mobile phones have been secured as exhibits as investigators work to establish their ownership, while investigations continue to track down a third suspect who escaped during the operation,” the National Police Service (NPS) reports.
The Service has assured members of the public that it remains steadfast in its efforts to dismantle criminal networks and to bring all those involved in crime to justice.
