Two suspects arrested over murder, stabbing incidents in Kibra

Two suspects have been arrested in connection with a murder and a separate stabbing incident reported in Lindi, Kibra, Nairobi County.

The suspects, identified as Abdizar Suleiman and Stephen Litari Hussein, were arrested in the Kingstone area following an intelligence-led operation by detectives investigating the two attacks that occurred on the morning of October 23, 2026.

In the first incident, 49-year-old Jacob Odhiambo Alube was killed after he was allegedly attacked and robbed of his valuables, including his mobile phone, as he headed to work.

Police said the assailants stabbed him in the chest and left thigh when he attempted to resist the robbery before fleeing the scene.

Officers who arrived at the scene found his body lying in a pool of blood, with bloodstains several metres away suggesting a struggle had occurred.

Crime Scene Investigation officers processed the scene before the body was moved to Nairobi Funeral Home for a post-mortem examination.

In a separate incident reported the same morning, 58-year-old Juma Jared was stabbed multiple times by two assailants.

He sustained injuries to his upper left arm, the left side of his chest and lower left back.

Good Samaritans rushed him to Mbagathi Hospital before he was referred to Kenyatta National Hospital for further treatment.

He is reported to be in fair and stable condition. Nothing was stolen during the attack.

Detectives launched investigations into both incidents, leading to the arrest of the two suspects, who remain in custody pending processing and arraignment in court.
