Police in Kasarani Sub-County, Nairobi County, have arrested eight notorious gang members who have been terrorising residents of Mirema Springs area.

In an intelligence-led operation, the officers arrested the suspects following numerous reported cases in which gangs have been using crude weapons to maim and rob members of the public.

The National Police Service (NPS) says that the suspects have been placed in custody at Kasarani Police Station pending their arraignment in court.

Additionally, an assortment of crude weapons recovered during the raid has been secured as exhibits at the same station.

The NPS has since reiterated its unwavering commitment to public safety and security, affirming that gang organisations have no space to operate in any part of the country.
