Kitui Senator Enock Kiio Wambua has accused President William Ruto of using development projects in Kitui to win political support ahead of the 2027 General Election.
Speaking in Ukasi, Nguni, Mwingi Central, Wambua said residents were entitled to development and argued that the President should not portray government projects as favours to the people.
“The development projects being implemented in Ukambani region right now, should not be seen as a favour to the people,” said Wambua.
“The projects should not be used by Ruto for political mileage, all Kenyans deserve to get government projects because they pay taxes, it is their right,” he added.
The Kitui Senator further claimed that if Ruto stopped the projects, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka would complete them if elected President in 2027.
He urged Kitui residents to back Kalonzo’s presidential bid, presenting him as the preferred alternative ahead of the next General Election.
