Wiper Patriotic Front leader Kalonzo Musyoka has strongly condemned the deadly violence in Seikuru that left 13 people dead, terming the attacks brutal and unacceptable.
Speaking at his SKM Command Centre alongside leaders including Carol Omondi, Dan Maanzo and Enoch Wambua, Kalonzo accused certain political figures of fueling tensions.
He specifically criticized Aden Duale, alleging that his remarks discouraged opposition leaders from visiting North Eastern Kenya, further escalating divisions.
Kalonzo called on security agencies to act swiftly, investigate the killings, and bring those responsible to justice.
Kalonzo urged communities, including the Kamba, Somali, Meru and Isiolo residents, to embrace dialogue and peaceful coexistence.
Residents in Wajir, Garissa, Mwingi, Samburu, Isiolo and Meru were also encouraged to avoid retaliatory attacks.
Kalonzo further faulted William Ruto for what he described as a failure to protect citizens and a delayed response to the crisis.
Kalonzo claimed that the government is downplaying the situation and called for urgent reconciliation meetings among local leaders to restore calm and prevent further loss of life in the affected regions.
