Christmas day at Kerugoya County Referral Hospital was filled with joy and celebration.

56 expectant mothers gave birth on Christmas Day under the attentive care of the hospital staff.

Among these bundles of joy were twins, adding an extra layer of delight to the festive occasion.

Additionally, three other babies entered the world in different facilities across Kirinyaga County.

The health department workers in Kirinyaga County were pleased to report the success of the deliveries within the region.

Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru contributed to the festive spirit by distributing Christmas gifts to the new mothers, creating an atmosphere of warmth and generosity.

Reflecting on the remarkable day, Rachel Nyaga, an officer from the renal department, noted that the number of babies born on this year’s Christmas surpassed the figures from the previous year.

The uptick in deliveries further emphasized the sense of hope and renewal associated with the holiday season.

One of the new mothers, Grace Muthoni, couldn’t contain her emotions as she welcomed a baby boy into the world at the county health facility.

Her tears of joy echoed the profound happiness experienced by many families on the special day.

Virginia Wangari, the officer in charge, highlighted another heartwarming event at the facility.

In the morning, another mother experienced the blessing of delivering twins.

The facility has a reputation for recording high numbers of deliveries daily.

The occurrence of twins added an extra layer of joy to the festive atmosphere.

Christmas Day at Kerugoya County Referral Hospital became a memorable celebration of life.

The arrival of numerous newborns brought happiness, tears of joy, and a sense of community to the hospital and the entire Kirinyaga county.

Kirinyaga County is emerging as Kenya’s benchmark for the implementation of County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPs), with other counties visiting to learn from its successful model as it positions itself as a leading destination for agro-industrial investment.  Bungoma County’s Department of Trade, Energy and Industrialization on Wednesday toured the County Aggregation and Industrial Park (CAIP) at Sagana to benchmark on its implementation ahead of rolling out a similar project back home.  The visit follows an earlier benchmarking mission by Kitui County, further cementing Kirinyaga’s position as a national leader in industrial park development.
