Majid Al Futtaim introduces SHARE Loyalty programme in Kenya for Carrefour shoppers

Majid Al Futtaim has launched its SHARE rewards programme in Kenya, giving Carrefour customers an opportunity to earn shopping points, access exclusive discounts and enjoy personalised offers through the retailer’s existing mobile application.

The programme, launched on November 5, 2026, will be available across Carrefour’s 35 stores in the country, most of which are located in Nairobi.

It will also build on the retailer’s existing loyalty base of approximately 1.4 million MyClub members.

The initiative is designed to reward customers for their everyday purchases, both in physical stores and through Carrefour’s online platform.

Darren Taylor, Senior Vice President of SHARE Rewards and Customer Solutions at Majid Al Futtaim, said the programme would strengthen the retailer’s relationship with customers by offering more personalised shopping experiences.

He noted that Kenyan shoppers would now enjoy benefits similar to those available to SHARE members in the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman.

Under the programme, customers will earn points on every eligible Carrefour purchase at a basic rate of 0.25 per cent.

Additional launch benefits include a welcome reward of up to 4,500 SHARE points, double points on SHARE Mondays and birthday offers that give members 20 per cent back in points on eligible purchases.

Members will also receive access to exclusive discounts and personalised promotions across Carrefour and participating partner businesses.

The rewards programme will operate through the existing Carrefour app, meaning customers will not need to download a separate application.

Existing MyClub members will automatically transition to SHARE through the Carrefour app after accepting the updated terms and conditions and selecting their marketing preferences.

New customers can join by downloading the Carrefour app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and registering for SHARE membership.

The launch expands SHARE’s presence in the African market and strengthens its regional network, which already includes the UAE, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Oman.

The programme currently serves more than 15 million members across the region, offering rewards, promotions, payment services and shopping-related experiences through a single platform.
