Mama Rachel’s special message to President Ruto on Fathers Day

Kenya’s First Lady Rachel Ruto on Sunday 15, 2025 acknowledged the dedication of fathers who work tirelessly to provide, guide, and nurture their families.

In a heartfelt message to President William Ruto, whom she affectionately called “Bill”, Rachel expressed admiration for how he balances the weighty demands of leading a nation with the love he shows as a father.

“While you carry the weight of immense responsibility for our nation, a burden few can truly understand, you still find a way to be fully present for our family,” she noted.

“You listen, you laugh, you guide, and you love our wonderful children with all your heart. Thank you for being our rock, our inspiration, and the heart of our family.”

In an emotional celebration of his role at home, the First Lady referred to the President as “the most remarkable dad we know.”

“Thank you for being our rock, our inspiration, and the heart of our family. Happy Father’s Day to the most remarkable dad we know. We love you beyond measure,” she shared.

At the same time, Rachel lauded the role of fathers in shaping future generations through patience, wisdom, and unwavering support.

“To all the amazing dads out there: Today, we celebrate you. We see the quiet strength it takes to shoulder responsibilities, the long hours worked to provide, and the countless sacrifices made out of love,” she wrote.

Meanwhile, President Ruto also honoured all fathers, saying they are the silent heroes who protect, provide, and nurture the foundation of families.

“Today, we honour all fathers, the silent heroes who protect, provide, and nurture the foundation of our families.

“Fathers carry the weight of responsibility with quiet strength. They shape values, model resilience, and offer steadfast support through life’s seasons.

“In their hands, children find safety. In their presence, families prosper. Through their sacrifice, communities stand strong,” said Ruto.

In addition the Head of State appreciated every father for building stable homes and stronger societies.
