Natalie Githinji to Endometriosis Warriors: Your healing has its own timeline

Media Personality Natalie Githinji has delivered a powerful message to people living with endometriosis: stop rushing your healing. Trust your body. Give yourself grace.

In an emotional message shared on Instagram on Monday, September 21, Natalie reminded endometriosis warriors that recovery is not a race and there is no universal timeline for healing.

Her message was simple but deeply personal: your journey does not have to look like anyone else’s.

“Recovery journey is not the same for everyone, so give yourself time, patience, and grace. Even when you’re told that you ‘should be healed by now’ or that you’re ‘okay’, listen to your body and your emotions,” she said.

No Two Healing Journeys Are The Same

Natalie explained that even people who undergo the same procedure can experience completely different recoveries.

For instance, two people may both undergo laparoscopic surgery, yet face very different challenges depending on the extent, location and severity of their endometriosis.

Some may be dealing with a less complex form of the disease, while others may have deep endometriosis, adhesions or the involvement of other organs – factors that can influence both treatment and recovery.

And sometimes, the body simply needs more time. Natalie urged people not to feel pressured by expectations about when they are “supposed” to be back to normal.

“Don’t compare your healing to someone else’s timeline”

The media personality also cautioned against comparing one person’s recovery with another’s.

Age, general health, previous surgeries, hormones and genetics can all influence how someone responds to treatment and how long their recovery takes.

“Don’t compare your healing to someone else’s timeline. Permit yourself to heal at your own pace,” she said.

Pain, too, can look completely different from one person to another. Two people can undergo the same surgery and emerge with very different levels of pain, fatigue and physical limitations.

That is why Natalie wants endometriosis warriors to remember that their experiences cannot always be measured against someone else’s.

“Your story is valid. Your pain is real. Your journey is unique,” she added.

Natalie Githinji Knows The Battle Personally

Natalie has been open about her own experience living with endometriosis, using her public platform to raise awareness and encourage other women to speak openly about a condition that can profoundly affect everyday life.

She has previously shared the physical and emotional challenges that come with the condition, including periods of severe pain that have disrupted her daily activities.

More recently, she has documented her recovery following endometriosis surgery, opening up about some of the difficult realities of healing- including pain, fatigue, reduced appetite and difficulty moving as she worked to regain her strength.

Her latest message carries the weight of that personal experience. It is a reminder to anyone struggling through recovery that healing is not failure just because it is taking longer than expected.

Give Yourself The Grace You Give Others

Natalie’s message ultimately comes down to one powerful reminder: you are allowed to heal at your own pace.

There is no shame in having a difficult day. There is no failure in needing more time. And there is no rule that says your recovery must mirror somebody else’s.

For those fighting endometriosis, Natalie sent love, strength, healing and positive thoughts – urging them to be patient with themselves and to keep listening to their bodies.

Because sometimes, healing isn’t about how quickly you get back on your feet. Sometimes, healing is simply giving yourself permission to take one more day.
