Pastor Ng’ang’a slams MP Mohamed Ali over controversial Finance Bill

Pastor James Maina Ng’ang’a of Neno Evangelism Center has called out Nyali MP Mohamed Ali, popularly known as Jicho Pevu.

The controversial preacher called him out for supporting the Finance Bill 2024, which many Kenyans have opposed.

In a viral clip from one of his sermons, Pastor Ng’ang’a harshly criticized the MP, accusing him of being bought.

The pastor recalled Mohamed Ali’s past as a journalist, where he was known for his investigative pieces and strong stance on human rights and good governance.

During his journalism career, Ali earned the moniker Jicho Pevu from his investigative report segment of the same name.

Becoming a beloved figure among Kenyans.

Jicho Pevu sasa jiangalie mwenyewe…Ile jicho pevu ulikuwa nayo ilienda wapi sasa. Mbona huwezi kueleza hii kiinaendelea.

Wewe Jicho Pevu ona jicho pevu hii utuelezae nyinyi mmenunuliwa mmepewa pesa ngapi.

“Hata nimeona watu wako wanasema ulivote yes na wewe ni jich pevu. Jicho pevu sasa jiangalie mwenyewe tumbo lako. Waongo hao!” Pastor Ng’ang’a slammed.

The Neno Evangelism Center founder dared anyone to challenge him, claiming their bodyguards would turn against them.

“If you try me, you will kill yourself. Your bodyguard will shoot you,” Ng’ang’a added.

His remarks come amid public outrage against MPs who supported the controversial Finance Bill 2024, which many view as insensitive to the plight of Kenyans.

Despite widespread protests, most MPs passed the bill through all stages.

Only after several Kenyans were killed and many more injured did the President, who had initially supported the bill, decide against signing it.

Further, he stated that his decision was in response to the loud opposition from Kenyans against the proposed taxes.
