Kenyan musician Kevin Bahati has been involved in a road accident after his Toyota Prado collided with a 2NK Sacco matatu, just two days before his much-anticipated wedding to Diana Marua.
Bahati announced the incident in an Instagram post on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, revealing that his vehicle had sustained serious damage but thanking God that they were alive.
“I just got involved in a bad road accident. My Prado is seriously damaged, but we thank God to be alive!” he wrote.
Despite the incident, the singer expressed confidence that the accident would not interfere with their wedding plans, scheduled for Friday, November 6.
“The devil knows he can do nothing to stop #TheBahatisBigDay, so he is trying the impossible ways! This Friday, November 6, will be the best day of our lives in Jesus’ name. Everybody say AMEN,” he added.
His fiancée, Diana Marua, responded with a message of faith, assuring him that they would overcome the setback.
“AMEN & AMEN!!!!!! No weapon fashioned against us shall prosper in Jesus’ name,” she wrote.
The announcement attracted reactions from fans who have been following the couple’s wedding preparations.
Bahati, however, did not disclose further details about the circumstances of the accident or whether other people sustained injuries.
The incident comes as the couple puts the final touches on their wedding arrangements, which have generated considerable public interest, including reports of invitations costing KSh 1 million.
Bahati and Diana have been sharing videos of their invitation deliveries, with several prominent personalities among those receiving them.
The couple has also announced that the wedding ceremony will be held under strict privacy rules.
In a notice shared on October 29, they barred guests from taking photographs or videos, while media coverage and live streaming will also not be permitted.
Although the couple has been documenting parts of the preparations on social media, the restrictions mean the actual ceremony will remain private.
With the wedding just two days away, Bahati and Diana have maintained that the ceremony will proceed as planned despite the accident.
