Popular Kenyan musician and rapper Edgar Waititu Odhiambo Ochieng alias ‘Stoopid Boy’ has been laid to rest in his mother’s home in Miharaati,Kipipiri ,Nyandarua County following weeks of disagreement over where he should be laid to rest. This comes after his death on 27 August 2026.
The artist came to limelight in 2024 following his viral hit ‘”G Baga Jat” (also known as “G Bag Na Jug”) .He came from Gotta City in Embakasi East, Nairobi, and gained a strong following for representing ghetto life and local street culture in his music.
His father, George William Ochieng Awili mentioned that dowry demands and Kikuyu cultural rituals prevented him from burying his son in Siaya.
According to the father, Stoopid boy had requested to be buried in Siaya in case of his death.
At the same time, his father claimed he was not given an opportunity to view his son’s body.
The burial came later after disputes between both families and a court battle. However, Ochieng disclosed that he will visit his son’s grave at a later date to give his respects.
