Thika: Shock, grief as 3 women found murdered in their home

National NewsNews

Shock and grief has engulfed a village in Thika East, Kiambu County after three women were found murdered in their home.

The three women (a grandmother, her daughter and a relative) were found brutally killed at their home in Maguguni village.

Reports say that two of the bodies were found inside the house while the third one was discovered buried in a shallow grave just near the house.

One of the neighbours told journalists on Wednesday, December 13 that they suspect the family was killed on Friday, when they were reported missing, prompting a search for them.

“We broke into the house and we were met with swarms of flies. We found the lifeless bodies of the granny and her daughter lying in a pool of blood,” Kahoro Mbogo told journalists.

All the bodies were badly mutilated, with the one buried in a shallow grave beheaded.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the family relocated to the home three years ago. Neighbours have described the family as “peaceful”.
