In a world where ‘celebrity’ love stories are highly shared on social media, the collapse of some of the famous ‘celebrity’ couples has left some people questioning whether real love still exists or it’s just a fairytale.

When ‘celebrity’ couples we look up to break up, it is easy for one to loose faith in modern romance and wonder if long term commitment is a thing of the past .

The conversation came alive on instagram where fans were questioning whether real love still exist. Some asking: “Does real love still exist with all the celebrity break ups?”

From the post, a fan cited some of the couples who have separated, including Gee Ng’ang’a and Vinny Flava, Commentator and Moureen Ngigi, Njugush and Celestine Ndinda, and most recent, Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley.

It first stated with Gee Ng’ang’a and Vinny Flava, which took the online community by storm.

They became popular when they started sharing their day to day experiences with their audience. In June 2025, Gee confirmed that they have both decided to end their relationship following deep reflection.

She also announced that she will be stepping away from their joint youtube channel and plans to focus on her personal growth.

Vinny later adressed the break up describing Gee as a blessing and saying there was no bad blood between them.

Another couple that got people surprised is Timothy Njuguna alias ‘Njugush’ and Celestine Ndinda alias ‘Wakavinye’. The pair, who had been together since 2016, broke up early this year.

The latest addition to the group is Nicholas Kioko and Wambo Ashley, who recently broke up.

A relationship ending doesn’t neccesarily mean that the love shared was fake.

As fans continue to deliberate whether real love still exists one thing is certain, even celebrity love stories have chapters and not every chapter is a happily ever after.
