Police officers from Isinya, Kajiado County have recovered government stores and copper wire following an intelligence-led operation, though the suspects managed to flee before officers could close in.
Acting on a tip-off, officers rushed to a hideout in Majengo Estate where the suspects were reportedly burning copper wire to strip off its insulation. By the time officers arrived, the suspects had vanished.
A search of one of the houses associated with the suspects led to the recovery of Administration Police uniforms, including a beret, shirt, jungle jacket, trousers, and a maroon belt, alongside pliers, tin snips, solar equipment, and copper wire, among other items.
Detectives from Isinya have taken charge of the investigation and are actively pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects, recover any additional stolen property, and establish the full extent of the alleged criminal enterprise.
