Hundreds of university and college students have convened at the Fountain Schools Conference Hall in Kericho Town for the tenth round of UDA Comrades Chapter Town Hall.
Speaking to TV47 Digital, the students said that they have a raft of critical issues affecting them that they intend to raise at the town hall.
The party has assembled a strong team of panelist who will handle topical discussions of the town hall, led by Water and Sanitation Principal Secretary Julius Korir and Kericho Senator Aaron Cheruiyot.
Other panelists include; Aurelia Rono (PS Parliamentary Affairs), Vincent Kigen (Chair National Employment Authority), Prof. Vincent Machuki (Presidential Council of Economic Advisors), James Maina (Director of National Housing), Faith Norah Lukose (Director Youth Fund) and Aaron Bett (a student).
Among the topics that will be discussed during the forum include; Importance of youth inclusion in leadership and governance, role of youth in reference to law and order, digital economy and technological transfer, and labour mobility/local opportunities.
Other topics that the ruling party’s luminaries will be looking to highlight are; access to markets and affordable credit, funding higher education and research in Kenya, and the benefits of affordable housing to comrades.
