Police in Endebess Constituency, Trans Nzoia County, are investigating a shocking incident where a 21-year-old man hacked his girlfriend to death.

Henry Kiprono, who hails from Mowlem village, is said to have killed Mildred Nekesa by slitting her throat on Wednesday, March 27 evening.

Confirming the incident, Endebess Police Commander Selasioh Muriithi said the body of Nekesa was found bleeding inside the suspect’s house which had been locked from outside.

Locals, in collaboration with bodaboda operators, were able to locate the suspect from his hideout, not far from his home.

It took efforts of the police to rescue him from the angry mob that was baying for his blood.

He is currently in custody at Endebess Police Station.

The suspect’s father, Robert Kiprono, could not come to terms that his son had committed murder most foul.

He told TV47’s Isaac Famba that Henry murdered the girl while they were working in the farm.
