In the Last season of the Premier Soccer League, Orlando Pirates forward Zakhele Lepasa was unable to make the team, however, he is now thriving and has scored more goals in the league than the whole Kaizer Chiefs team.
Zakhele Lepasa, who also plays for Bafana Bafana, is a favourite of national team coach Hugo Broos.
He was loaned out to SuperSport last season after falling down the Pirates pecking order, but he’s making up for lost time right now.
The 25-year-old has two goals in three league outings, in addition to his hat-trick in their MTN8 quarter-final win over Sekhukhune. He’s also been named to the newest Bafana Bafana team.
In contrast, the Chiefs struggle to create chances in the final third. They’ve only scored once in the league, an Ashley Du Preez equalizer in a 2-1 loss to Sundowns, and have gone scoreless against Chippa and now TS Galaxy.
This season, Lepasa has scored more DStv Premiership goals than Chiefs, which is not a good sign for the Glamour Boys.
