Joseph Business School Kenya (JBS Kenya) has opened registration for its next entrepreneurship cohort as the institution seeks to equip Kenyan business owners with skills to build and scale sustainable enterprises.
The announcement comes after the school completed its inaugural 16-week cohort earlier this month, bringing together entrepreneurs from sectors including business support services, men’s fashion, Kingdom-based education and preventive healthcare.
JBS Kenya Administrator Betty Matharu said many Kenyan entrepreneurs have the ambition to grow but lack the structure and training required to take their businesses to the next level.
“Kenyans are entrepreneurial by nature, but many lack the training and structure needed to scale. JBS gives them discipline, strategy, and the spiritual foundation to grow their businesses God’s way,” Matharu said.
The school, which opened its Nairobi campus at Two Rivers Mall in May 2026, offers a faith-based entrepreneurship programme that combines conventional business principles with biblical teachings.
One of the inaugural cohort graduates, Brenda Kemei, attracted investor interest for her Nairobi-based venture, Brand Diet, during her final presentation.
Other graduates said the programme had helped them develop a clearer understanding of business growth, mentorship and purpose-driven entrepreneurship.
Joseph Business School President Dr Deloris S. Thomas said the programme is designed to help entrepreneurs expand their businesses beyond local markets.
“Kenya has extraordinary talent and a highly educated population, but they need a bigger market. Our mission is to help entrepreneurs scale beyond Nairobi, beyond Kenya, and into East Africa and the outermost parts of the world,” Thomas said.
JBS Kenya is the East African campus of Joseph Business School, founded by Dr Bill Winston and headquartered in Forest Park, Illinois.
The institution operates across more than 60 markets and is pursuing a global initiative aimed at helping 100,000 entrepreneurs of colour scale their businesses to at least $1 million in revenue.
The Kenya campus operates under the spiritual oversight of Rev. Julian Kyula, Founder of Ruach Assemblies, with Dr James Mworia Mwirigi serving as Patron.
The next cohort will run for 16 weeks through a hybrid format, combining physical and virtual classes. Tuition is $2,500, payable in Kenyan shillings, with classes held at Two Rivers Mall in Nairobi.
Registration for the upcoming cohort closes on September 16, with classes scheduled to begin on September 17. Scholarships are also available through donors, churches, alumni and businesses.
