Not a woman! Man in trouble for deceiving policeman to hire him as a sex worker

A man in Harare, Zimbabwe, is the talk of town after he disguised himself as a woman, and even managed to deceive a policeman to hire him for sex in the process.

The proverbial 40 days of a thief reached for Melusi Ngwenya when a Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZPR) officer, Nqobizitha Williams Bamala, accused him of theft.

Bamala claims that he slept on the same bed with him while he was drunk and that is when he stole from him.

Following his arrest, Ngwenya was taken to Harare Magistrates’ Court. He was wearing a blue-and-white dress and a red-and-white Nike jacket. He also had a bandana and a small handbag.

But just before he was about to appear before Magistrate Gamuchirai Gore, Ngwenya visited the washrooms to relieve himself, and this is when his luck ran out.

A police officer remembered him as a man from a previous case which was heard at the same court.

The genesis

The court heard that on January 20 this year, Bamala paid for the services of Ngwenya who had posed as a female sex worker. He took him to his house at the ZPR Support Unit Camp.

The next morning, Ngwenya left the house while the police officer was still asleep. When he woke up, he says he realised that US$200 from his wallet was missing.
