Rhythm & Brunch marks two years of celebrating Nairobi’s love for 90s & 2000s R&B

Nairobi, Kenya – August 2026 – Rhythm & Brunch marked a significant milestone this past Saturday, celebrating two years of curating one of Nairobi’s most sought-after lifestyle experiences. Held at Ngong Racecourse, the anniversary edition brought together a vibrant community of music lovers, tastemakers and culture enthusiasts for an immersive celebration of 90s and 2000s R&B.

Dressed in the event’s Old Money Aesthetics theme, attendees stepped into an experience where timeless music, elevated fashion and curated entertainment came together to reflect the evolution of a platform that has become synonymous with epic daytime experiences in the city.

The celebration featured performances from DJ Adrian, E The DJ, Nijo and JT The Drone, alongside captivating live performances by Lisa Oduor, Noah, Chemtai Sage and Maokinlay, delivering an unforgettable soundtrack that kept guests engaged from start to finish.

Over the past two years, Rhythm & Brunch has carved out a unique space in Kenya’s entertainment landscape by championing nostalgia, community and quality experiences. What began as a concept celebrating the golden era of R&B has grown into a cultural movement, attracting a loyal audience that continues to shape Nairobi’s lifestyle scene.

Speaking on the milestone, Dickson Matata, Co-Founder of Rhythm & Brunch, said, “Two years ago, we saw an opportunity to create more than just another event as we wanted to build a cultural platform that celebrates great music, connections and elevated experiences. Rhythm & Brunch has become a community because people see themselves in what we’ve created. As we look ahead, our focus is on continuing to innovate, raise the standard for lifestyle experiences and build a brand that resonates well beyond Nairobi.”

The anniversary edition reflected Rhythm & Brunch’s continued commitment to intentional programming, premium production and authentic experiences that keep guests coming back. Every element—from the music curation and performances to the fashion theme and guest experience, was designed to celebrate the community that has fuelled the brand’s growth over the last two years.

As Rhythm & Brunch enters its third year, the platform remains focused on expanding its impact, creating even more immersive experiences and cementing its position as the home of nostalgic R&B culture in Kenya.
