The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has once again demonstrated its strong influence after winning all seats contested in the 14 May 2026 by-elections in Narok, Elgeyo/Marakwet and Samburu counties.
The biggest contest was the Member of National Assembly race in Emurua Dikirr Constituency, Narok County, where UDA candidate David Kipsang Keter secured a decisive victory with 18,266 votes. His closest challenger, Vincent Kibet Rotich of the Democratic Congress Party (DCP), garnered 10,760 votes.

UDA also posted commanding victories in the County Assembly Ward by-elections.

UDA has once again shown its strength with this fresh by-election victory.
Just five months ago, the party delivered a powerful clean sweep of all seats contested that day, securing victories in Mbeere North Constituency and Kabras Ward. In Mbeere North, UDA clinched both ward seats with strong margins: Duncan Muratia won Evurore Ward with 7,853 votes against Albert Muchira of DP (1,940 votes), while Peterson Njeru took Muminji Ward with 3,201 votes against Boniface Ngari of DEB (2,232 votes). In Kabras Ward, Elphas Shalakha of UDA emerged victorious with 3,317 votes, beating Bramwel Khaemba of DCP (2,640 votes).
Attention now shifts to Ol Kalou Constituency, where the ruling UDA party is gearing up for a fierce showdown against the Democracy for Citizens Party (DCP) in the by-election slated for July 16, 2026.
