Detectives in Embakasi, Nairobi, have launched investigations into the brutal murder of a young woman who was allegedly strangled to death by two unidentified men in the Jua Kali area.
According to police reports, the incident occurred late in the night on Monday,17th March, and was first reported by three local residents who had responded to a distress call. The witnesses who live near the scene, said they heard a commotion at around midnight and rushed to investigate.
Upon arrival, they found two men assaulting the woman, believed to be in her early 20s. However, the suspects fled into the darkness upon noticing the neighbours.
When authorities, including crime scene investigators from Nairobi arrived at the location, they found the woman’s lifeless body.
Her undergarments had been lowered, and visible strangulation marks were found on her neck, suggesting she had been sexually assaulted before being killed.
The police documented the scene before moving the body to the City Mortuary, where it awaits identification and a post-mortem examination. Meanwhile, detectives are piecing together evidence and pursuing leads to apprehend the suspects responsible for the heinous act.
Residents have called for enhanced security in the area, urging authorities to ensure swift justice for the victim. The police have appealed to anyone with information that could aid in the investigation to come forward.
