Ugandan socialite, entrepreneur and digital creator Zari Hassan has announced the end of her relationship with her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, bringing to a close a union that lasted five years.

Zari shared the news through her Instagram Stories on Thursday, revealing that the couple had mutually agreed to separate due to irreconcilable differences.

“After much thought and reflection, we believe it is best for us to part ways due to irreconcilable differences. While this wasn’t an easy decision, we feel it is the right one for both of us,” the statement read.

The mother of five noted that despite the breakup, there is no bad blood between them and that they remain committed to maintaining a respectful friendship.

“There is no anger or resentment, sometimes two people simply grow in different directions. We value each other and remain friends with mutual respect and understanding,” she stated.

Zari further expressed gratitude for the memories they created together and wished her former partner success and happiness in the future.

“We sincerely wish each other happiness, success, and all the best for the future,” the statement concluded.

The announcement was signed jointly by “Zarinah & Shakib.” Shakib has not publicly commented on the separation.

Zari, who rose to prominence through her business ventures and reality television appearances, was previously in a high-profile relationship with Tanzanian music star Diamond Platnumz.

The former couple share two children together and remained in the public spotlight for years before ending their relationship.

Her marriage to Shakib had often attracted attention on social media, with the pair frequently sharing moments from their life together.
