In a statement posted on X, the DCI noted that some of the stolen items were recovered from the two suspects.

John Mwangi alias Mankufa and James Mwandiki were smoked out of a hide out at Olooseos in Kajiado County, where some of the items looted during previous robbery incidents were recovered.

The two were arrested during a security operation in the area, after numerous reports of theft and robbery.

Meanwhile, Mwangi and Mwandiki are being held in police custody as the officers continue with investigations into the matter.

Police further explained that the two will be arraigned in court to be charged with robbery and theft.

At the same time, DCI noted that the officers are currently interrogating the suspects with an aim of getting more information that will help police arrest more suspects involved in the robberies in the area.

However, police have encouraged residents to share information with relevant authorities to help in the fight against crime in the country.
